When a couple of Ronaldo's team mates were born, he was already a star at Manchester United. Can you imagine being born, then, as a kid, idolizing a football star, start a career in football, grow older, build your way up to a top team and still have the chance to play with him in the national squad??? How crazy is that? edit: For those questioning what I said, he was already a star in Sporting. He just became instantly famous in his first match for Manchester United, in 16 August of 2003, 21 years ago. For reference Bellingham was born 3 months after that and even players that are now on their low 20's were a couple of years old or close to it. I really don't understand some comments, what i said also applies to babies, unless someone here knows a 2 year old that plays already for Real Madrid's main team.

Happiness is seeing him play, being valued and scoring goals.

When Ronaldo broke out in 2002 in the friendly against Manchester United, John O'Shea was given the responsibility to mark him. Ronaldo tormented and bamboozled him, even Rio Ferdinand said that he was panting in the dressing room. Fast forward 22 years later, O'Shea is now the Irish team manager and his team was again tormented by who? Cristiano Ronaldo. The longevity is absolutely insane. EDIT: John O'Shea is 4 years older than Ronaldo, which is not a big difference in age. So O'Shea saw out his entire career (with a brief stint with Cr7), retired, became a coach and still Cristiano Ronaldo is at the very top. Edit 2: The friendly was in 2003.

39 years old and still the best on the pitch, absolutely crazy

Ronaldo saying "No pressure, Be the man" Before taking the free kick
  • As a messi fan I regret the times I hated on Ronaldo. Absolute legend of the game. I don’t want to see him retire 😢
  • @crow12123
almost 40 years old and still scoring awesome goals proves he is the goat

Man Kelleher is such a good keeper but maaan CR7 is too much even at 39 two super accurate left foot finishes for a natural right footed man. What A Time To Be Alive.
  • Who else has watched it before but rewatching because of Ronaldo? 🙂

You won’t see any other player at the age of 39 pulling out this performance scoring 50+ goals a season, absolutely insane. 🐐
  • Even though CR7 hit the post in his freekick, it reminds memories of scoring an equaliser to 3-3 against Spain in the last minute of the game in FIFA World Cup 2018.

I love how Portugal is playing Ronaldo in this game, looks like a false 9 and his team mates just casually passing him the ball now then create a chance from him. Hope to see this kind of play at the EUROS
  • Lucky to watch the GOAT in action at 39. Prime athlete. Spectacular player. Leader of the portuguese masses. Global superstar.

as a messi fan i am really happy watching ronaldo still performing this way at this age

As a Messi fan may be Messi have completed football but seeing Ronaldo playing so well and fabulous at this age feels amazing he seems to be going forward not backward he is really a goat ❤
  • Seeing Ronaldo score a brace in anticipation of the Euro warms my heart and gives me some hope for the tournament. Winning it will not be an easy task for the Goat№2, but I think he'll do his best alongside his teammates.
