I was so surprised at 5:03 to hear you pronounce Holmsjรถ SO WELL. The SJ sound doesn't even exist in English. Love your effort to pronounce everything correctly ๐Ÿ‘
  • @joshburgon1720
I think the idea of the glass panel on the desk is to be used as a light box for tracing
  • @vargavio
When I saw the glass drawer of the Ridspรถ desk, I immediately thought that a light source hidden in the drawer would be a great way to copy drawings. I really like it :)
  • @Dinki-Di
I agree with you about the trend to put form over function. As a person who suffers from back pain, I find that most modern sofas are unusable because the backs are so low that they offer no support at all.
  • @madinkos
Hello from Sweden, i would like to appreciate your effort on spelling of the furniture items names, it sounds really good!
  • @paveladamek3502
I think these comparisons fail to realize that anyone who would consider buying a bed for 650 dollars is going to compare it with other beds for 650 in different stores, not with beds for 100 at IKEA.
  • @Brianmatthewward
Happy new year - happy to see you back at it! Hoping 2024 brings some awesome new content, and maybe even some new Architect Redesigns episodes ๐Ÿคฉ
  • @SpencerScottPugh
This video went deep! Lots of work put into this and I really appreciate it
  • @rafalpotasz
Thanks Daniel, super useful summary and takes :) Looking forward to the new apartment video.
  • @bettyparker3317
As someone with architects in the family, itโ€™s so nice to see a professional giving advice that actually considers function ๐Ÿ˜‰ as well as form/design. (And budget, but thatโ€™s usually easier to deal with). Thanks from a new subscriber๐Ÿ˜„๐Ÿ‘๐Ÿ™
  • @truecrimejungle
ikea kitchens are underrated. Glad this architect knows his shiz!
  • @sunshinesunny9518
I'm really excited about your new appartement tour! ๐ŸŽ‰
  • @annepoitrineau5650
I have had Ivar shelves for over 30 years (including cabinets, and I am gutted they have changed the cabinet type, instead of just adding a new cabinet type). Still 100% happy. Of course, unlike with Billy, you have to organise the books so they do not fall, but they can be dismantled and re-mounted...Moved 6 times since buying them.
  • @annaw7437
I loooove my green Jattebo sofa! Also, such a relief to hear someone actually making effort to check how the names are pronounced. Some major interior design "content creators" can only aspire to your professional quality of videos.
  • @carolhathaway5168
As always, excellent video! Looking forward to your home tour.
  • @seaaan
That looks like a really nice view. Congrats on the upgrade, canโ€™t wait to see what you do with it.
  • @wilmaknickersfit
Hell's teeth Daniel! Thank goodness you posted this video because I had my eye on several of the products you mentioned as being not such a good buy! โค
  • @janemuses3031
I was listening to music with my eyes closed when your video popped up next and you sounded like a commercial for a few moments before I realized the previous channel ended. You have such a crisp and melodious voice , you could literally do commercials - just wanted to mention it. And kudos to you for saying all those Ikea names out loud. Apart from bringing cheap furniture to the world, Ikea can also be credited with launching the Swedish language at the unsuspecting public at large. LOL.
  • @momol.9892
Thanks for the great in-depth analysis and lots of insights. There are a lot of IKEA videos and this one is my favorite.
  • @tassadanslesmyriades1044
I really love your videos about design objects ! Really genuinely useful even in France
