I didn't want to go to the gym in bad weather + having an emotional week

Published 2024-01-23
We got a few days of snow where I live and because it was a struggle to walk outside I was afraid to go to the gym. But I didn't want to ruin my progress so this is how I dealt with the situation. On top of that, I was having a rough week and was full of emotions.

I'm going through a very similar journey, Karen. No, it's not easy and setting very high expectations of oneself isn't conducive to success. I think you're doing great with holding yourself accountable and not taking the easy way out! 👏 It's very difficult to not give into that temptation, so celebrate that success. Keep at it and things will eventually fall into place... "just keep swimming, just keep swimming, just keep swimming swimming swimming" 🐠😊

January is such a rough month for weather reasons, end of the holidays reasons, and just plain blah reasons. Congratulations on keeping motivated, even when things are feeling down for you!

Congrats on doing the damn thing! 💪 And for some unsolicited advice, I would seriously think about the limbo it sounds like your work life is putting you in. You say how you're feeling about things isn't important? No! It's the most important!! Really have a think about what you're getting out of it and if it still suits you! My personal turning point was finding something local with some nice people, not having to commute all the time really let me live my life and make some plans outside of work. Always great to see a channel update (and thanks for inadvertently kicking me about falling off gym visits).

You’re doing great at creating healthier habits…some winter days just limit the intensity! It matters that you showed up for yourself! It ALWAYS matters…even if it looks different some days. You matter. Love 💗 and hugs 🤗 and lots of cheers for you always 🎉 🎈

Hi, just thinking of you and how much crap has landed in your lap for so long. Totally understand why you’d want to give up on the good habits, but praying you feel inspired to do something healthy for yourself today ❤️ (even if it’s only for 5 min)! It matters 🤩 You’re worth the effort and time 🥰 you’re truly a special human…one of the good hearted ones, and we love you for that 💗
