Before you complain, this car is cheaper than some bicyles in the US.
  • In China, this car is priced the same as Corolla, Civic and Mazda 3, which is about 14,000 to 20,000 US dollars.😊

You are basically climbing from China's east coast into mountains in the middle west. You should at least drive it back on the same road to calculate the total MPG

As a Chinese user of a 2.3L 2013 Citroen C5, I don't care where Chinese cars are exported to or sanctioned it is definitely a good thing to have more choices from locals
  • @joey3291
Highways cost much more fuel than low-speed city roads for electric and hybrid cars. This car can definitely go ~2000km if only used in city.
  • @lihangsu249
Basically, it means I can make a back and forth trip between Rio de Janeiro and São Paulo with 1 tank of gas and still have some fuel to have fun inside the city. It really beats my Civic LXS for a great margin.

Just jump to the conclusion: 1350-1450 Km in real life driving conditions such as air-con etc. This is still very impressive.
  • @perlkingneo
Wow, impressive, Uber drivers will love it so much considering its price when driving it in a city.
  • Wow, that range is impressive. During the Wheelsboy tour promo, at first I thought you said "a touch of detention' rather than a touch of adventure.
  • Автор прав, при такой цене, данному авто нет конкурентов. Ни один дизель или гибрид, столько не проедет. byd захватит, весь мировой автопром.😉

I reckon Chinese government should revise their driving range measurement system. I think they should set up a much tougher and higher benchmarks. I want China to be a country that setting the standard for everyone to follow. So that in the not too distant future hopefully the "Chinese standard, benchmark, quality” is something that becomes a common phrase.

Summary: most of 80-120km/h speed and full day AC on, total range is 1350-1450km, fuel consumption 4.7L/100km. But with less comfortable drive experience, for example AC off and lower speed, it may still have a range 2000km and fuel consumption less then 2.9L/100km.
  • @iupring
During the journey, the car had the air conditioner on the whole time (what was the temperature in Celsius?), drove at high speed, passed through rainy days, and crossed mountains. In the end, the video hinted that there were three people and luggage in the car.
  • @yuey0602
you are too used to the super fast EVs, 7.9s 0-100 is decent enough for any highway.
  • @azizaja8255
0:08 Toyota literally announced their partnership with BYD to use BYD's hybrid system on their cars
  • @milkymike122
Because of this car, the Corolla now costs 11000 usd in China, same for Corolla cross. 😂 While in the US good luck if you can find a used 2015 Corolla at that price.

Love your content, not bias just honest options on testing cars. You’re one of a kind as far as I’ve seen 👍🏼
  • Amazing tech. BYD and Chinese engineering makes me proud to be human. This is an achievement. Shows that in just a few decades what happens when you work together for a common cause. Also those are some beautiful highways 👀
  • BYD should sell them in Australia for $30,000 AUD, own the market overnight
  • @RailgunNZ
Great video. Considering hybrids perform worst on highways vs city that is an impressive result. 4.5L/100KM. Great video.
