They need subs to rise analytics, when its constantly brought up its annoying and ruins content. But asking for subs has been shown to raise the number of subs massively as well as get like videos recommended and so on. Youtube will forever be a numbers game and asking for subs brings up the numbers, as long as they dont ask a lot its fine imo.
