Michigan Central Station, also known as Michigan Central Depot or MCS, is a historic former railway station located in Detroit, Michigan. It was built for the Michigan Central Railroad between 1912 and 1913 and served as the main intercity passenger rail depot for Detroit until the cessation of Amtrak service on January 6, 1988.

The station's design is impressive, featuring Beaux-Arts Classical style architecture. Its main waiting room is adorned with marble floors, Corinthian columns, and a vaulted ceiling. At its peak, the station was one of the tallest rail stations in the world, standing at 230 feet (70 meters) tall.

After its closure to rail traffic, Michigan Central Station fell into disrepair and became a symbol of Detroit's economic decline and urban decay. However, in recent years, there have been efforts to revitalize the station and its surrounding area. In 2018, it was announced that the station had been acquired by Ford Motor Company with plans to restore it as a hub for innovation and mobility research. This initiative is seen as a significant step in the ongoing revitalization of Detroit.
