Here is a realistic glimpse into what you can expect the first 24 hours home with a newborn….especially if you have other kids!

Bringing home a new baby is always an adjustment. You worry how the older kids will take it, will your toddler understand, and concerns of being able to give each child the love and the attention wash over you.

As a mom of 5, let me just say, you will have enough love for all of them. I promise you figure it out. It’s also good to remember that each child has different needs.

P.S. I was not moving around like this after the birth of my first. My recoveries have gotten easier with each kid ❤️

Yes yes yes & YES!! I experienced this 6 months ago, I have a 7 year old a 5 year old, a 3 year old, a 1 year old AND A 6 month old. Those first few weeks are crazy, but once everyone gets back into the routine it doesn’t get easier it just gets more manageable. Oh and now we’re expecting baby #6 :) so wish me luck!
  • YOU DID IT 😍😍😍 so happy to see baby right back where he belongs! At home surrounded by love and care

I’m 28 and single but I really hope to be a mother one day. It seems like so much work but watching you juggle 4 kids and a newborn is so inspiring. I’m also glad you mentioned taking time for yourself and doing your skin care, etc. Self care is so important especially for new mamas. You can’t pour from an empty cup so I’m glad to see you making time for you.❤️
  • When my mom had my younger brother, people brought over meals and would offer to watch us even if she was just running to the store. Our house had burned down about 3 months prior so people knew we needed the help but it just helped so much.

The minute you get home to your kids with your new baby you realise it is going to be fine. It feels like you've always had them. With my last baby born at the very beginning of lockdown it was such a beautiful time in our home. My husband was able to work from home thanks to covid so he was on hand to help out a lot more than before. The kids werent at school. The bonding was so special. I cherish those years. My four children seem so much older now three years later. And we don't plan on having any more so that last precious few months with my kids and a new born will always seem extra special to me.
  • One of six here. Grandparents are awesome to have whenever a new baby comes. Not only do they watch over you when Mom and Dad are in the hospital, they can stay longer when baby comes home to help. Cook, clean, bedtime stories...helping you adjust to a whole new person in the house because you're totally not jealous... If you don't have any grandparents to call, reach out to a good friend or family member. The first days are really hard because you have a real, brand new person in the house and Mom is tired after delivering baby and building a schedule with baby. Be patient and feel free to reach out to those that love you because they will come help you and stay longer of they can.
  • I know I’m going to come back to your channel when me and my hubby are ready to have kids. It stresses me out to think about but even the small tips in the vids seem doable and realistic. I can’t believe how big your family is & how you can maintain it all! A beautiful family & team!
  • “Bc you will get up through the night” 😂😂😂 I think that’s what this fellow mom was saying at the end.
  • I know this is old, but I just have to say, SO FEW PEOPLE TALK ABOUT PAPER PLATES!!! I've recommended them a couple times as part of a postpartum gift basket and almost nobody acts like they're a good idea. I'd rather cook than do dishes. Lol

I brought baby number 3 (in 4 years) home this past weekend. So many snuggles and then wanting to touch her face while she's nursing or sleeping 😂 I'm so thankful our church set-up a meal train and I was able to freeze meals before I gave birth. My husband is many things but a chef isn't one of them! Haha congrats on your newest bundle of joy!
  • What she was gonna say was you will lay down but be awake the rest of the night either feeding, wondering why they’re crying or checking their breathing when they’re fine and sleeping lol
  • This life is so exhausting. I’m hesitant to have one kid let alone 4 🙃

I needed to watch this today. I have an 18 month old & I’m pregnant with my second. I keep thinking, HOW am I going to do this 😭 but you make it feel much less intimidating ❤️
  • the 1 year old: oh god i’m being replaced **only as the youngest tho 😂
  • @SkycryEmpathy
I love you guys so freaking much!! Thank you! As a fellow pregnant lady your videos help me feel so much less anxious 🙏🏻❤️❤️❤️

The one year old looked like…I’m not sure how I feel about this
  • My husband and I got in an argument every time we came home with all 3 of our kids. So many hormones, stress, nervousness, tension, anxiety…just a bad mix! Thankfully we got it out, apologized to each other and carried on!
  • This is my oldest daughter’s life right now too! I love it!! Five kids. 6,5,3,1 and 2months!
