This is an inside look of a typical Japanese family's house in Tokyo Japan. This is a very common home in Tokyo. Unlike many people who rent Tokyo Apartments, this is a rented Tokyo House. The design of the Tokyo Home is very similar to other Japan homes except maybe the basement and attic.

I'm Japanese too. I think this house is very big and expensive house, especially Tokyo. I wanna live in like this...😂
  • Japanese people utilise space wisely and nicely...love from India

Cool. Your friends are awesome for letting you show the public their home. Also, i appreciate the fact that its a real home, and its lived in, its not made up all fake for the video, like most videos showing a home anywhere, are.

5:25 I thought those were like chips or something, an that they were going to just drop them on the carpet, and I was like "wow, that's a japanese tradition I definitely didn't know about"
  • Thanks for the insight on Japanese living. They are a lovely family.
  • @Tawman
WOw the way she greeted at the door in beginning was soo enthusiastic and genuinly comforting! One would think shes doing this for the film until you realize she asked 'Are you filimng' after a while after saying that, meaning that that amazing intro was purely real! WOW!

I'm Japanese, but since I live in the countryside, I'm always surprised by the small size of the house in the city. It can't be helped because the population is large and the price of land is high, but I don't think it's very good to live in the city if there are no work problems.

title: "average japanese house" this man: now there's a lot of differences between this and a lot of other houses in tokyo

That water comes out on top of the toilet tank to wash your hands is really genius work! simple yet profound. haha!
  • @travelpockets
A basement in Japan is definitely unusual! Wish more Japanese homes had this.

I lived in Japan 1981-95. Japan's changed a bit here and there. I like the new style toilets - so convenient, like warm seats- how convenient, especially when it's cold out!
