Houston paying respects to Sheila Jackson Lee at City Hall rotunda

The congresswoman, who helped lead federal efforts to protect women from domestic violence and recognize Juneteenth as a national holiday, was 74 when she died on July 19 after battling pancreatic cancer.
Her body will lie in state in Houston's city hall rotunda for 10 hours on Monday.

    This is why I hate when they try to push stuff down our throats. She did nothing honorable, but they treat her like she was this great person. Why can't she just pass on without all the hoopla. She did nothing for her constituents.

    Interviews from medical staff who were there in her finale moments, verify that she was begging God, and President Trump forgiveness for all the wickedness she had performed, she must have seen what was waiting for her on the other side, not pleasant at all
