This is the second holiest place in Judaism after Jerusalem Temple Mount.
The structure atop the cave was built by the Jewish King Herod the Great 2,000 years ago.

I would absolutely love to go there. I'm studying Genisis & as a Christian I too pray to the God of Abraham, Issac;& Jacob. There is so much history there even for me, a Christian, my history of Abraham essentially being my father as well. Not in the sense as is for the Jews but as a Christian. I would so love to go there.

Like you said about the family trees, if you go back far enough, we all came from the same Creator. We are all brothers and sisters. Religion divides us , our true inner spirit connects us. Father Abraham is a very important figure for Judaism, Christian, and Islam - Abrahimic religions. Prophet Abraham is the forefather of jews from Isaac; Abraham's second son from wife Sarah, and the forefather of Arabs from Ishmael; Abraham's first son from wife Hagar. They are brothers and sisters by blood and hence are entitled to this holy land; the land of great prophets.
