  • Very interesting. Booth went from being one of America's famous actors to one of history's most notorious villains.

Just HOW spiritual could Junius be if he was leading a second life away from his original wife?

Hatred is taught from one generation to another. The "Golden Rule", treat people the way you want to be treated. John Wilkes Booth was never taught that.
  • How funny it would be if people actually read history ,they would never believe it.
  • @harrycarrey5124
If John Wilkes Booth came back today and toured the country would he realize how wrong he was or how right he was? I think about this question all the time

Why do they go on and on about how handsome Boothe was? If true, something is lost in the photos. Oh yes, and the β€œadvocates of slavery” were Democrats.

Story that booth wasn't killed in the barn but escaped and went to Indian territory and died 30 plus years later . It was on unsolved mysteries years ago they have the episode on YouTube check it out. No picture of booth nobody in 1865 the evidence of his escape goes on .

The sketches of Booth in the barn show he had a mustache - Booth had shaved his mustache by that time. If the person they killed had a mustache it could not have been Booth.

I’m coming to this after watching most of the Apple+ show Manhunt and I have to say it’s interesting to hear the real history again. However, I will also say that this biography is more than a little bit complementary to John Wilkes Booth. It was pretty well acknowledged by people that knew him and saw him perform at the time that he was not a good actor. He did not have the natural talent of his father, or his brothers. He was affected by that and that helped contribute to his wanting to be a big star by killing the president of the United States. I think he ended up acting his final greatest role by doing so. But to suggest that he was anything other than a mediocre actor treading on a family name of great actors is, I think to give him too much credit.
