It's like Christmas morning, watching all those amazingly well thought out gadgets appear. As 4x4 enthusiasts we owe you and your team of engineers a debt of gratitude because this is why we have good products available to us.

EvaKool have a range of Aussie made fridges, All of EvaKool's Down Under and Infinity RF fridge/freezers are Made in Australia and have been awarded the iconic 'Australian Made, Australian Grown' logo featuring the yellow kangaroo a green background.

Wouldnā€™t worry about where itā€™s made - worry about how good the quality of the product is.

Engel Fridges. Andrew, Iā€™ve run Engle fridges for over 30 years and traveled some very rough roadsā€¦never once let me down.

Take a look at, or even better phone them and chat about, the Bushman fridges. Iā€™ve got one of their 35/52 ltr fridges. Iā€™ve had it since 2006. I have taken it everywhere, and I do mean everywhere, in Australia over that time. The worst roads Australia has to offer and a lot of proper hard core off-road driving. Itā€™s been tied down in the back of three Hiluxā€™s and a Cruiser over that time. It has never missed a beat and has performed amazingly well!!!! Very, very economical on power. Has held temp asked of it (including -15deg) always regardless of outside temp. Including regular ridiculously high outside temps. The design is very versatile. My wife, my mother in law, two dogs and I lived out of it for a year of remote travel in 2007. At present it in the back of my hilux as a drink fridge as my trailer has a 98ltr National Luna. If mine stops working any time soon, I wonā€™t even hesitate to buy another one.

The Sunshine Coast in Queensland has two manufactures of fridges for your purposes. Most well known is the EvaKool brand. There is also Norcoast refrigeration with their Trailblazer range. They will also custom build dimensions. You might want to investigate a little further.

Just put my name down for a new 76. Looking forward to following this build and getting some ideas for my car. Keep up the good work mate šŸ‘

Evakool fridges are made in Australia on the Sunshine Coast in Queensland

Trailblaza fridges Andrew ! All Aussie mate by a family on the Sunshine Coast in QLD. Lifetime warranty and is THE BEST 12v fridge you can buy. Used by the WHO & Aust Army. I can't recommend them enough.

Iā€™ve had 2 of the higher end fibreglass evakool fridges and been very happy with them. The design is very thermally efficient and they use quality components.
  • Evacool make fridges on the Sunshine Coast (not all of them) but a large selection. I have had one since 2003 and it has never missed a beat. If my Troopy ever arrives from Japan that will be my main fridge/freezer - as I love cooking).

I have been using Engel fridges for many years and swear by them. I have two 60ltr Engels. I live in the Pilbara in a harsh hot climate and they have never let me down. Solid basic & reliable. And by the way myself & friends are planning the CSR later this year. Live your work and keep them coming. Cheers šŸ‘

Off the top of my head that may still be made in Australia ARE Norcoast TrailerBlazza fridges, may not the best looking fridges and also a bit bulky but they are probably the only ones left.
  • @philiphite6118
In Namibia , variety is limited, what I found very useful are the Dometic fridges from Waeco, extremely light on power, the controls are highly visible and precisely where they should be and that's where the lid opens.
