“You carry your anger like it’s a prize, when it’s the weight around your neck” BARS
  • So glad noisey dropped all of these been watching them all day helping me get through this shitty time

"Why do they rob you of your love, peace, joy, fulfillment, satisfaction, and harmony. I wouldn't give them the victory. It makes you lose your calm and your grace and brought you a moment of insanity. Why give them the power?" BANG!
  • My brother is an angry and explosive person and I’ll never forget he said “if you think I’m hard on you, imagine how I treat myself” and it gave me so much sympathy/empathy for him. Anxiety often manifests as anger in men.
  • "I like to APPEAR short-tempered" he gave himself away, notice he didnt say i am short tempered, hes truly scared inside, but he wants no one to know

I like this therapist's energy. He seems very wholesome.

One thing about joe Budden whether he’s being a mean or nice he’s always honest.
  • I say this all the time and I’m gone keep saying it! Your childhood affects your adulthood! Be careful how you treat your kids!

Joe is trying really hard to rationalize his trauma. Every time he speaks his affect gives away how much pain he's in; pay attention to the way his facial expression changes at the end of some of his sentences.
  • @FanBanks
The fact that this is not Joe's first time with a therapist shows growth. He's taking responsibility for the man he is. Idk why yal so mad at him. Cant yal see hes wanting to be better. He knows he has flaws. His arrogance is defense for his pain.

Im watching all of these in order, and so far this episode has been the most revealing one yet. Not only does this hit WAY too close to home, but I could SEE in Joe's eyes that he was being shown a new light. I hope he does well in the future. God I love this series.

The Therapist's voice sounds like Isaiah Thomas.

When he told him to close his eyes and think about him when he was young and when that shit happened with his brother and when he go beaten his eyes started twitching even faster which means joe was truely there reliving it and was fighting back the memory and the tears. Very powerful stuff

“Energy cannot be created or destroyed. If you were shamed, it’s still inside.” 🎯🎯🎯🖤🙌🏽
  • He's so unattached. As an aspiring therapist myself- people like him intrigue me. Running away from your mental emotions is easy, so consistently keeping that guard up makes it easy. You can sense everything he feels, how uncomfortably comfortable he is just by the way he responds to questions. very intriguing.
