  • As incredibly difficult and time consuming making a stop motion movie is, I'm glad we still have directors that are willing to make them. Huge respect to Guillermo Del Toro.

This trailer is more emotional than the whole Disney's live action movie version. Can't wait for this work of art.

I just watched this and I'm so moved, I couldn't stop crying at the end. The stop motion animation is so beautifully done, the fact that everything is handcrafted makes it so special. I'm glad it wasn't just another remake, it had elements of the original story and something totally new that made it so much deeper. It deserves so many Oscars!

Not many films get me choked up. This did. Absolutely wonderful piece of artistry, cinema, music and storytelling. Please support this film. It deserves it.

I hope everyone understands just how deeply lucky we are to have this. Stop motion is a DYING form of filmmaking because it’s time consuming and expensive. So much love and care goes into every frame.
  • The mere existence of Guillermo del Toro is a love letter to humanity.

This is art. It's not soullessly pumped out for money, it's not made to capitalize on a trend. This was made out of pure love and dedication.
  • This film had so much more soul and passion than Disney. It truly felt like a movie that anyone could watch regardless of age. Disney has lost that somewhere
  • I just wanna thank del toro for never giving up on his visions when he's not ham stringed by studio execs interference, this is a god send for lovers of stop motion, and I know right here and now, this is gonna be a classic for decades if not forever
  • That line " Tell him I love him and I won't be a burden anymore" hits me in the feels. I've been called a burden numerous by my parents and it stuck with for all my life.

We need more stop-motion movies. There's something surreal about them.

Please, this needs to play in theaters 😭 Guillermo's movies are always filled with good cinematography
  • I swear to God, if this thing doesn’t win an Oscar, I’m gonna freaking riot. WHO’S WITH ME?!
  • @colinbell2983
Got the pleasure of watching this on the cinema, it is in my all time top 3. If this doesn't win best animated feature at the Oscars, I will officially lose faith in the Academy
  • I love how they’ve reimagined The Blue Fairy as a Sphinx-like creature! And Tilda Swinton has the most shiver-inducing voice ever!!
  • @Vexmybeloved_
I love the fact they named Gepetto's late son Carlo, which I'm assuming is a nod to the writer of Pinocchio: Carlo Collodi. You can truly see the love behind this film.
  • I just finished watching it. First off, let me start by saying that this was my most anticipated movie of the decade. I have waited 9 years for it's release. Second, this is one of the most beautiful movies that I've ever witnessed in my life. What a wonderful piece of art Del Toro has made! I have always loved stop motion, ever since I first watched The Nightmare Before Christmas. For Pinocchio, you can literally see how much time, love, and care was put into this film. The 9 years of waiting was definitely worth it. It has now become one of my all time favorite movies, and I'm sure that it will be known as an instant classic in the next few years. If this doesn't get nominated for Best Animated Feature or Best Picture at next year's Oscars, I'm going to so depressed. I can't recommend this wonderful and iconic masterpiece enough!
