Bryan Alvarez and Vinny of the Wrestling Observer review the Main Event of Hell In A Cell 2019 between Seth Rollins and "The Fiend" Bray Wyatt for the Universal Championship, which is considered by many the worst Hell In A Cell in company history due to a boring and way too slow build up to an even more disappointing and controversial finish

the fact this is FOUR YEARS OLD is insane to me, this was my peak of watching B&V live, I never missed an episode when AEW Dynamite started, this is an absolutely legendary rant, up there with the TNA rants, up there with the Gold Boat, Vince Russo’s book, Jenna and Sharmell. EDIT: The Goldberg line after the show is an alltimer too, I remember seeing Johnny Blud’s reaction, “I feel like shit. And I said ME TOO GOLDBERG!”

This was where Seth's reputation became irreparably damaged....it has never truly recovered since.

“F*cking mallets, how do they work?”

My dad and I were loyal watchers from 2015 to around 2018-19. Shit like this made us give up on wrestling again
-
I quit watching wwe because of this match. With HHH taking control I’m coming back to give them another chance.
-
I'm sad they started deleting videos older than like 3 years on their channel. Watching Bryan fall out of his chair laughing was amazing!
-
I was there... I'll maintain that everyone was into the show until this match

Mankind got thrown off the top of the cell and (unplanned) through the cell roof, and the referee didn’t stop the match, and in that situation it would’ve been understandable because of Foley’s legitimate injuries. Fans may have still been unhappy if they stopped that Taker/Foley HIAC, but at least there would’ve been a justifiable reason to end the match. But stopping the Rollins/Fiend match was just so unbelievably stupid, like Vince doesn’t think anything through anymore. And Wyatt just ended up winning the title like a week later so what was the point?

RIP Bray Wyatt.
-
A Disqualification...in a Hell in a Cell match? That referee is the dumbest on-screen official on planet earth while the conclusion buried Seth Rollins and The Fiend/Bray Wyatt. And honestly, who cared for the Universal Championship at that time? Umm...NOBODY. P.S: WHY put them in a red HIAC match??? This curse will never end until the VKM brigade dies.

If I recall. This was the 2ND YEAR IN A ROW where the Hell in a Cell Main Event ended in a NON-FINISH. (Braun/Roman the year before, with Dolph/Drew/Ambrose/Seth involved outside the cage)

The day the Joker lost his smile. Like hbk
-
Vince McMahon being forced out was the best thing to happen to the company.
-
I recall immediately canceling WWE Network after this. Apparently MANY others did the exact same ha

The fd up ever having the fiend near the title.
-
Bray wyatt was the absolute shits in everything he ever did
-
With Bray probably coming back it made listening to this interesting. I hope his next run is better, though liked elements of The Fiend. Also worried because betting first feud will be Rollins. That or Balor

This match stopped me watching for years

Bray/Fiend was a character on shaky ground to begin with. It was absolutely destroyed by Vince's booking, though.
