The conflict in Afghanistan is driving large numbers to make a perilous journey to Europe for safety and shelter.
Turkey has detained a boat carrying more than 230 people in the Aegean Sea.
Officials believe the group of mainly Afghans were on their way to Italy.
Many Afghans are looking for a way out amid rising violence in Afghanistan.
Turkish authorities detained about 1,500 migrants last week trying to reach the country through Iran.

Back in the day in 1918 when Turkey was occupied by western forces, Turks fought for getting back their country. So why are syrians and afghans so scared to fight nowadays?

Why rich gulf Muslim Arab countries such as KSA, UAE, Qatar, Kuwait, Oman not take them. As I know thy need many labours
  • Why doesn't Qatar,Saudi Arabia,United Arab Emirates,Bahrain,Kuwait,Oman take in these Afghan refugees?
  • These are men not boys. They need to fight for their country’s freedom. They are expecting a free ride in Europe. Haven’t they heard, Europe is closing their borders. They need to go to neighboring countries where they have similar cultures, or oil rich countries closer to home. They bring nothing but disrespect to Scandinavia and there is a reason for a no more refugees goal in Denmark and a reason that deportations have not stopped to Afghanistan from Austria and Germany

Turkey has already been hosting 4 to 5 million refugees since 2012. Hosting that many immigrants for 10 years plus is just not sustainable.

Living in Turkey won't be affordable for Turks rather expensive. Price of everything will be increased because of increase of demands due to overpopulation. Quality of life and welfare in Turkey decreases.
  • For the people who are comparing this situation to the Turkish people living in Europe, I will copy the comment I made to another video here: German government itself invited Turkish people to employ them in contry's heavy industry. Upon the invitation, Turkish people started to go to Germany. It was a mutual situation. Turks were definetly not refugees and could not be compared to the people trying to immigrate to Turkey. As for other European countries, Turkish people applied to the workplaces, firms and companies located in European countries for jobs and their applications were accepted. Then they prepared necessary documents and applied to respective contries' authorities for working and residence permits and were accepted by authorities too. As you can understand, accepting Turkish people and giving these permits to them were these countries' own choice. European countries rejected many applicants who they didn't find qualified. They only accepted the Turks they considered qualified. You cannot expect from Turkey to admit every single immigrants, of course there needs to be a selection like other European countries do. Turkish people who migrated to European countries submitted all the documents required by the respected country. (ie. health documents, diplomas, resumes, criminal records, language proficiency documents...etc.) And all of them were subjected to scrutiny. Hovewer, people trying to migrate to Turkey only say their names and that is all, they don't provide any kind of information to the Turkish authorities. Turkish people have never tried to pass the borders of other countries against their authorities' will and never attacked other countries borders like zombies. (Of course there are individual cases of Turkish people illegally migrating to other countries but comparing these cases to the zombie attacks that Turkey is facing would be beyond stupidity.) Finally, Turkish people have never immigrated to other countries in mass numbers. Migrations were individual and were spread over time and therefore easy to be integrated to the society. But Turkey is facing a mass migration happened in a very short period of time. And because of that, Turkish people lost the majority to the immigrants in some cities. This is a situation you can never see in European countries. And on top of all the above mentioned, Turkey is suffering from an economic crisis unlike the European countries and the economic burden of these immigrants is destroying what is left from the economy of Turkey. Have a nice day :)

They should have joined the Afghan military instead. Maybe the Afghan military would be successful if they installed a mandatory draft..
