Fun Fact: Given the larger than normal claw this Minecraft mob Crab is based on the Fiddler Crab. That crab is indeed known to use their larger then normal claw to wave and click. They often do this to attract mates. Here's the thing about getting a Crab's claws. It is possible to de-claw a crab. Crabs have a natural form of regeneration that allows them to regrow their claws if their loss. Whether or not this hurts them and the ethical results of are wildly debated. Some allow it. Some don't. So if we get the crab and they give us a way to de-claw it without killing it. Well ya never know. People may get angry.

big major mistake crabs walk sideways, I was expecting the goofy walk...

They should be walking sideways, not forward. You should be able to "harvest" a crab by using sheers and it removes only one of the claws giving you Crab Meat but it grows back over time. Killing it would give you two Crab Meat and a Crab Shell that could be used as decoration or turned into Bonemeal.

Okay, here's my thoughts on crab claw's extended reach. It's nice, but there are some questions I have: • How far is the extra reach? 1 block, 2 blocks, 5 blocks? Double? • How is it equipped? Off hand? New equip slot? • Does it have durability? In my opinion, it will just be a new reach for things to be just out of. We'll still need to use scaffolding or pillar up. So now it's just taking up space, and if it's in the off hand, I don't have a shield/totem/etc.

The crab is a really cool mob, but I don’t like that a real life mob will never be added cause it was in a mob vote once!

Here's what i just thought. Imagine a whole minecraft musical instrument set , with music discs , copper horns (i wish they come back) and crab claw clicking sounds. It'll be glorious.

I'm fairly certain the whole body turns to look at the player due to the body itself being the 'head', granted I've never done any model stuff for Minecraft so I really can't be sure; but if that is the case, you could probably fix it by giving it a separate head or even giving it an invisible 'head'.

Awesome video! two things: the "antennae" that you made are actually its eyes (i know, weird) and second of all, dont worry about the claws, only fiddler crabs have that feat of differently sized claws so they are totally fine
