I use wet in wet techniques, minimal drawing, salt and watercolour pencils and sandpaper.

Salt.
Watercolour pencil (dark brown) with sandpaper.
Kebab stick (twig from garden).

Beautiful, Karen! Love the atmospheric look, earthy tones and textures! The yellow blobs could be sunflowers! How about putting dark centers on them?
