The 2024 Porsche 911 S/T ($290,000 USD starting, $325,900 CAD starting) is a lightweight high performance GT car that aims to be the purest form of road-going 911. It’s powered by a 518 horsepower naturally aspirated flat-six engine, and revs all the way to 9000 rpm. It’s also seen significant S/T specific changes, such as a single mass flywheel and lightweight clutch. But with an availability that’s almost too limited, and a feverishly high price tag, does the 911 S/T live up to its expectations? Thomas and James are excited to get behind the wheel and find out! We hope you enjoy the episode! And then subscribe, silly.

Huge thank you to @MilesPerHr for allowing us time with his press loan! What a legend.
And to Sam and Page One for helping to make this happen.

James and Thomas are great and the key reason why so many of us come back for more, but I wanted to say props to the editors and production as well. I know production quality has been steadily increasing over the years of watching you guys, but something about this video made me realize how far you've all come compared to the videos from way back when. Props!

No you didnt... you didnt just do them that way in the intro :D I love you guys so much

Okay, that demonstration of engine response at 5:10 is pretty impressive.
  • You guys are the successors to the iconic trio of Top Gear - when it was still great - and The Grand Tour. Copywriting is epic ("that sounds like I'm in between radio stations" - nice image), filming and editing are next level, it's all professional AND fun! And compared to the said trio, this channel remains focussed mainly on car testing and reviews. Love it. Nice job and thanks for that.

Throttle House keeps getting better and better, the whole team is amazing.

Don't know exactly what happened. But you guys have risen to a level where you are in contention with the very best out there. All the poetic precision you want from a car reviewer but with maximum consideration towards having fun. The moto-journalistic version of the 911 S/T. Except actually available to the masses since it's free on youtube. Bravo.
  • James’s and Thomas’s enthusiasm is so infectious. I don’t like to drive! I would never get a sports car because it would be wasted on me. But I watched all 26 minutes because I was cheering for them getting to drive a car they were so intensely nerding out over.

you guys have become the category-defining, genre-altering, magnum opus of car content creators. Throttle House is truly the Gold Standard of this niche. You're better than peak Top Gear. I'm not exaggerating. I think James and Thomas are my favorite content creators ever.
  • This is the channel TV car shows should watch and take notes on. It is the peak of narration, filming, sound and editing in car shows.

I absolutely love how for certain cars it feels like you go just a bit above your already amazing quality just because the car really deserves it

My wife just asked me to turn the volume down while i watch this video. “I cant. Impossible”. What a beautiful car, and excellent video! 🎉

Couldn't agree more with this video. I don't need rear wheel steering, I don't need turbos, I don't need 600hp, or a fancy dual clutch. I need a communicative, predictable chassis, a fast revving motor, and a solid standard transmission. Why does that have to be crazy expensive?

Finally the upgrade from my Focus ST

14:50 I would actually argue that you don't have to buy a 911 S/T to get this kind of experience, because a new ND Miata at 2,300 LBS offers a very similar drive to this car. Extremely light weight, a revvy NA engine, soft suspension, little sound deadening and a fantastic manual gearbox. But apart from that, this really is it. What a glorious machine.

Can’t express how much these videos are just pure art. Never stop uploading, ever
