Its kinda cruel to ask the citizens questions that you know full well can get them sent to a camp or killed.
  • That kids knew he just didnt want his family be sent to a generational prison.

I’m surprised he’s allowed to go in there and asked those questions without repercussions.

He asks questions that could get people in serious danger if they didnt carefully monitor their response

People were not born with hatred, they were taught to hate

No matter what you're going through in your life, it could always be worse. You could be living in North Korea.

Funny how as soon as they escape they have nothing good to say about the dear leader they've been raised to love. It's all an act, they are terrified

I have seen a bunch of Documentations about North Korea and one thing that always seems to happen that needs to stop is: The interviewer always asks the citizens those questions that will get them into trouble. You can see it on their faces on just how uncomfortable it is for them, cause they know, if they don't repeat what they were told, they will get into *HUGE* troubles that we might not be able to imagine. Please stop asking the citizens those questions. Maybe leave it at a single one and move on. The citizens are not at fault for this. But they will pay the price if they give the 'wrong' answer, which is what you want to hear, with them saying something positive about 'their enemy'. They cannot answer those questions freely but we keep pressing the issue with every single interview. I think that is wrong.

I’m honestly amazed you were allowed to ask them if they wanted to shoot you. That is wild!

The quickness with which that woman backtracked when she heard herself almost saying something positive about America. You shouldn't have put their lives at risk like that man

    Loved the screenplay and narration!

This is the sort of thing that is really important. Seeing the people that live in countries, rather than just looking at their government.

I don't believe NK will ever start a major war in the simple fact sustaining their troops in food alone over an extended period of time is unattainable. That said, I hope we never see my hypothesis played out.
