Mixed SEPTA Silverliners at Bethayres

Published 2012-05-15
The following SEPTA Silverliners bound for Center City Philadelphia and then Elwyn at Bethayres on train 369 on the West Trenton line on Tuesday, May 15:

9001 (number plate on side already gone) - Former Reading Railroad Silverliner II.

235 - Former Pennsylvania Railroad Silverliner III; also was used almost exclusively on the SEPTA Airport line for several years. As of May 15, this was the only SEPTA Silverliner III still in service.

266 - Former Pennsylvania Railroad Silverliner II. This car is unique because it has a camera for some type of inspection service mounted on the top.

The above three cars are due to be retired with all of the rest of the Silverliner IIs and IIIs very shortly.

Finally, 290 - Silverliner IV. These will remain in service, along with the brand new Silverliner Vs and a handful of push-pull cars that are used only in peak hour express service.
