Pete and Greg, are joined by Uncle Matt And Eric for a 13.5 mile run down the scenic and adventurous Mayo River in NC. They start out on the N Fork of the Mayo and paddle to the confluence of the Mayo Rivers. After a stop off at Fall Creek Falls, they shoot through the boiling hole and S turn. After a lunch on the beach, they paddle 10 miles further to the town of Mayodan. Join the guys for a great Saturday on the Class 3 Mayo River! The Beast is hungry!

Level on the river was 2.5 feet

Man Pete I gotta hand it to you bud. You sure play some good music in your river runs. All the other stuff is good too. But a heck of a selection of music. Especially the bluegrass. 👍👍🙂

I ran that river MANY times in the 80's and 90's. I want to get back to it again soon. That water level ROCKS!!!!!! Thanks for posting. You literally made my day!!!!
  • In the garage working and watching River Kings. Your soundtracks are awesome.......Road of the Gypsy, really? Iron Eagle was one of my favorite movies as a kid. Great video and soundtrack

  • Man what a cool trip! You have a great channel and I really enjoyed this video! Thanks for sharing your adventures!
  • I’m new to kayaking and I’m loving it so far! I stumbled upon a few of your videos looking for tips and I’m glad I did! I actually live less than 30 minutes from Mayodan, just across the state line into VA, off of 220. This gives me a great idea of what to expect from the Mayo when I’m ready for class 3! Thanks for a great video!

Now I got caught up and got to watch without skimming
  • Burn Shevin! Nice work Pete. You guys are certainly spoiled for choice of rivers. When you live on the driest continent in the world like I do there isn't much to pick from.
