The Life and Works of the Gifted Dutchman, Rembrandt

Loved the fact that how Rembrandt was laser focused on Jesus till the end and his paintings are masterpieces. Thank you very much Gary for the uplifting messages.

I was a commercial artist by profession and, as such, a great admirer of art. Over the years, I have been fortunate enough to visit some of the greatest museums in the world, including The Metropolitan Museum of Art in Manhattan, and The Isabella Stewart Gardner Museum in Boston, as I live exactly midway between Boston and New York City, in a suburb of Hartford, Connecticut, only a short 2 hour drive to either city. The painting by Rembrandt which you featured, "The Storm On The Sea Of Galilee", which is Rembrandt’s only seascape, was on display at The Isabella Stewart Gardner Museum in Boston, Massachusetts. As I mentioned, I have visited that museum. However, I unfortunately did not have the pleasure of viewing that masterpiece by Rembrandt because on March 18th, 1990, one of the most infamous art heists in history took place! In addition to Rembrandt's "The Storm On The Sea Of Galilee," several other great works were stolen, including: “The Concert” by Johannes Vermeer, considered the most valuable unrecovered painting in the world, and additional works by Rembrandt, including a self-portrait and "A Lady and Gentleman in Black". Five drawings by Edgar Degas. “Chez Tortoni” by Édouard Manet. “Landscape with Obelisk” by Govaert Flinck. The total value of the stolen works is approximately $500,000,000! and the case remains unsolved to this day!

Gary once again, thank you so much for another classic. What I appreciate about you are your deepness, calmness and solid agapé love portraits with authenticness. We need REAL people with the focus on Jesus and His Kingdom. The programs inspire us and glorify God. Im so tired and sad of fellow brothers attacking one another, instead of building God's Kingdom.
