Who do you think is calling to Baylan from Peridea? Bendu, Mortis Gods, Wellspring Priestesses, or Mephisto?
  • @adamross2256
Every episode Baylen and Shin get more and more interesting. Its a frickin' tragedy that Ray left us before he had a chance to see how well-received his performance is.

What an honor and a gift for David Tennant, that he gets to be the first actor to say “A long time ago, in a galaxy far far away”. So cool!
  • Thrawn’s entrance is one of the coolest things I’ve seen in Star Wars. Seeing the Star Destroyer emerge over the tower with that fantastic score was just perfect

Ezra’s “I can’t wait to go home” line has me a little worried for his fate ☠️
  • @Pit.Badger
I’m shocked you didn’t mention that Thrawn’s army of Stormtroopers in the subtitle are called Night Troopers. Most likely referencing them possibly as undead resurrected by the Great Mothers.

Being such a rebels fan, it’s honestly surreal seeing Ezra again and better in live action form. Loved every part of it
  • He plays Thrawn so flawlessly I got so hyped by the powerful presence he was giving off

“A long time ago, in a galaxy far far away” that line gave me goosebumps. But I personally think this episode could use more flares. Because it's our first journey to different galaxy.

Hearing the word Dathomir and seeing the Nightsisters was just exciting

When Enoch says “die well”, maul said the same thing to Gar Saxon in season 7 right before his fight with Ashoka in the rafters above the city. Could just be a way to bid “farewell” to a mandalorian,

I wasn’t sure about him at first but after his scenes in this episode I’m absolutely convinced that Ezra is perfectly cast, not only does he look great but his voice is perfect, I was literally wondering if they had dubbed over his actual voice with the original actors, that’s how good it sounded
  • I liked how thrawn wanted to know who trained the jedi coming! And I'm interested to see his interested to it being anakin.

I can't stop thinking that Huyang is the narrator of the opening crawl of every movie. Seems extremely meta to have him say that line.
  • this episode was amazing, the world building is insane, cant wait to see thrawn be as formidable as he was in rebels

Enoch's mask is a traditional Roman cavalry face mask, it is meant to serve a similar function to the Japanese samurai masks or the pig helmets knights wore, to bring fear by taking out the human face and changing it with something inhuman, demonic or monstrous. In my opinion the Roman helmet is easily the creepiest and they are invoking a greatly similar feel here.

The storm troopers are definitely modeled after Kintsugi, the Japanese bowls that are repaired with gold once they break. With Thrawn's love of art, I can totally see him doing something like this with his crew and his ship.
  • @UVClipz
I noticed this was the first time we actually saw Grand Admiral Thrawn smile.

Thank you for your countless hours of time to analyze the episode. You truly are the best at breaking down videos

I think Enoch is the only one left alive in Thrawns army. Enoch is the only human to not die and meet God, so to me, it would make sense that Enoch earned his name by being the last storm trooper left. I think his mask reflects that as well.He also did not have any red ribbon tailored around him from what I could tell.
