This is definitely one of the more underrated Christmas songs. Considering it's a Paul McCartney song, I'm surprised at how it isn't more popular.

I can't unhear this song as a ritual being preformed and someone walking in and them singing the "simply having a wonderful charismas time" is the coverup.

Man, I wish I had noticed this sooner. 2023 was the year my dad died, and this was our favorite Christmas song. He had the music video recorded from his VCR back in the day, and it was just so damn fun and goofy! He also loved weird audio technology and used much of it himself in noise art, so chances are that he would've gotten a real kick out of this.
