A High-Speed Musical Journey through Mario Kart 8 (Deluxe)

Musical journeys are meant to encompass the whole experience of the game. Songs are in the order in which you would experience them while playing, rather than the arbitrary order of the soundtrack itself. Sometimes, a musical journey necessitates cutting songs that are outliers from the usual experience; other times, menu jingles and other non-soundtrack songs might be added for immersion. For Mario Kart 8: Deluxe, the songs are ordered by Grand Prix. Since there are so many songs/levels, I culled them to what I thought were the best two or three per prix. Menu songs and other "evolving" songs like Mount Wario have all versions included with smooth, in-game transitions for each. Almost every track song includes the standard version and the slightly different "1st place" version which plays as the character pulls ahead in the second half of the race.
