Welcome back to another exciting episode of Station Rigs on Heroes Next Door! This week, we're diving deep into the heart of Loyalsock, Pennsylvania, to uncover the backbone of their fire services - the mighty engines. Engines, also known as the bread and butter of any fire department, are indispensable in extinguishing fires, and today, we're taking a closer look at the remarkable work done by the Loyalsock Volunteer Fire Department.

Serving a community of nearly 12,000 residents, with a daytime population surge to almost 20,000, the Loyalsock Volunteer Fire Department stands as a bastion of safety and protection. With a fleet boasting multiple ambulances, a tanker, a couple of engines, and various support vehicles, they're fully equipped to tackle any emergency that comes their way.

In this episode, we had the incredible opportunity to open the doors, inspect the equipment, and even ride inside the impressive 2016 Spartan Gladiator Engine. Trust us, you won't be disappointed! This engine is not only ready to work but impeccably organized and stocked with all the necessary equipment, showcasing why it's a vital asset to the department.

A huge thank you to Matt Hill for graciously allowing us to explore this remarkable unit and gain insights into the dedication of Loyalsock's firefighting team.

One thing that impressed me was the Lt. mentioning a place for everyone to volunteer…admin, etc. A lot of departments don’t consider the non operational positions for people to volunteer that don’t want to ride a fire truck or ambulance, or maybe retired from the operational side, but still want to be involved.
