“No matter how many penalties you score, People will always remember the ones you missed” - Baggio
  • @juliobrian4757
This was the hardest day of Baggio's life. I watched it live with my father in 1994...

Everyone: "its just a penalty" Baggio : "it was everything..."

The pain of losing is far more intense than the joy of winning -Kobe

“I could’ve killed myself that night, and felt nothing.” -Roberto Baggio

Roberto saved the Italian team so many times before reaching the final. He was going to be immortalized as the best Italian player to win the world cup... But yet, he is now immortalized as the player who missed the world cup penalty. We love you R B.

He's still one of the greatest legends of football. I remember this like it was yesterday. Really difficult for any superstar player. Bagio had to battle with numerous injuries that dampened his career a bit, but I still rate him as one of the greatest players I've ever seen.

Keep in mind, that was his FIRST penalty he missed in his career... 😞
  • @miharnepal4621
The fact he stood there standing for 8 whole minutes and not one person came on the pitch to console him..
  • @NJE95
The fact that this moment in football has a name like a song a movie or a book give me chills, you are not watching a penalty shoot..you are watching "The man who died standing" the same with "The hand of god" "The goal of the century" and "The Maracanazo"

in Italy we all forgave him, in fact, no one ever took it out on him. The only one who hasn't been able to forgive himself is himself. Italy loves you Roberto.❤

I will never forget that kick and i was a brasil fan and 11. IF Baggio scores i feel like its forgotten. Crazy moment in sports history that needed a great superstar player like baggio to create. He just got the short end this time

But thanks to that, we Brazilians got a world cup in a time of pure sadness, financial crisis and we had just recently lost Ayrton Senna. The world cup title was dedicated to him. In Brazil we have this popular saying: "Someone has to lose for my team to win"
  • @ilsignore1
