appreciate this one. Datura was used by pundits in my grandparents gen in Trinidad. Supposedly brewed and consumed as a tea in a precise dose because it is deadly. Funny as we have always had datura plants on our property as worship for Shiv but no one consumes nor even knows how to prepare it properly.

Soma was first mentioned in the Rig Vedas, the oldest religious scripture known. Over half of the Rig Veda is dedicated to Soma. It was most likely this drink that elicited deeper states of Samadhi and eventually lead to meditation and yoga etc. … I highly doubt it was datura but most likely a blend of cannabis, ephedra and some tryptamine containing plants, and possibly opium as well. There are many plants native to what is now India that contain LSA which is a visionary psychedelic precursor to LSD … which next to 5-MeO-DMT is the most powerful psychedelic known to exist.
