Honestly I think a lot of folks need to grow up and accept change. I haven't watched MJ in years and while certainly the changes are questionable I accept them. People get so worked up over the littlest thing

As a drag racer, the call with Bari Musawwir was a fair call. If you don't have your vehicle staged deep enough and it rocks, you will roll out of the beams and you will unstage. If the tree activates before you can get back in, you're out.

My wife and I were asked to be random judges years ago. We said no because I didn't want the entire event to hate us.

World Finals II is so great because of the way the event completely falls apart and its awesome. Also they cut Seasock's interview from the broadcast and apparently during the interview Seasock was hella mad so there's another fun fact
  • The rule of using only collector type exhaust in Monster Jam trucks could be another good controversial topic.

If the Gun Slinger Orlando screwjob is on here, I can say 100% that the replay showed on Speed in 2004 was NOT the angle they showed/cut live. The angle used that night was right on the finish line. Gun Slinger had a small lead going up the ramp, when both trucks were in the air his lead was.increasing. There is no way physically possible Grave Digger could have passed him in the air when he was losing ground to Hartsock. I was sitting in a section closer to the start, and Hartsock's wife was in the section next to us, passing out 3*5 hero cards. For the final round she walked down to the finish line to get a better view. After the race she came back in tears and there was a pretty good chorus of boos from the crowd. It was obvious what happened. I still hate myself for not taking a picture of the replay screen (which ironically was the first year the Citrus Bowl had it, go figure).
  • There was also the controversy involving Neil Elliot and Dennis Anderson in the championship race in Orlando back in 2010 when there was a light flickering malfunction. Same goes for the shutoff of Dennis after he slapped the wall in the Metrodome back in December of 2004.

R.I.P Scott Hartsock in Gunslinger. Gone but not forgotten.

I respect that you didn't list any deaths or injuries that occurred at Monster Jam events, such as the Natural High Tacoma Dome 2009 incident, but I really feel like those are necessary points in Monster Jam's history. Once again, I do respect you for deciding not to future those tragic accidents, but they changed the way Monster Jam works even to this day. It's just one of those moments where you don't know if it will help or hurt to feature it. Past that though, great video all the way.

To me Monster Jam died when they got rid of the crush cars. A lot of the thrill was through the crush cars being run over and the replacement of cars with extremely high flying BKT tire stunts ironically seems much more dangerous with how close some of the landings on those tires reaching close to the grandstands. To me that mentality of extreme air stunts are what is going to lead to Monster Jam having a major disaster involving spectators comparable to other types of motorsports like the Le Mans disaster for 24 hour racing or the Ramstein disaster for air shows, far more worrisome than a bunch of crush cars that aren't stacked up or using winnebago's that have a 1 in a million chance of hitting spectators or track crew.

This channel is great. It has me more interested in monster trucks than when I was young. You earned a subscriber

An interesting video I would want to see would be trucks that were either delayed from debuting or changed as a result of infamous tragedies. Examples would include Maximum Destruction and Inferno being delayed a year as a result of 9/11, And the truck "Sniper" who many may remember from Crash Madness 2 being renamed to "Incinerator" as a result of the D.C. Sniper Attacks.
  • 2004 World Finals freestyle should’ve been on this list. Tom and Jimmy had the best runs that night but Medusa and Lope just had one spectacular moment and somehow won

World finals 2 is actually my favorite world finals to date, but the controversies made perfect sense at the time. In retrospect I'd argue a lot of the past controversies make the event more engaging than it would be otherwise.
  • I got the amazing chance to judge a triple threat event a few years ago, two days later we were invited to do it again, when I met morgan Kane he thanked us for coming back, according to him the past judges did such a bad job that even the officials were confused.
  • @RDCNATION
I think people give World Finals 2014 a bad name. Though the track was mostly dirt, there was still a lot of cars. They cared about the paint design. They also still let trucks run while broken, and I don't mean just broken, I mean destroyed. Madusa was demolished and she kept going until she got hung on cars. If they brought back that track, I think everyone would be very grateful.

1999 Nashville monster jam when Carolina Crusher clearly beat Bulldozer(Meents) in the first round but they gave the win to Meents to promote the Dennis Anderson vs Tom Meents rivalry
