Sometimes we all have to do it with a broken heart

I'm reminded of what happened with Weird Al, when his parents died he was just about to do a show when his wife called, rather then cancel the show and let down his fans, he did the show but understandably cancelled the fan meet afterwards. He called it one of the most devastating moments of his entire life but he still went on to do a great show.

Katy Perry did not deserve the hate she got. She experienced something that everyone prob did at one point so props to her and everybody who went thru that

I expected a Katy PERRY the Platypus joke. But I got so much more. Thanks for this Dan 👍🏾
  • @EmptyDrPepper

I hid my impending divorce from everyone including my kids and my siblings for a year and a half until it was finalized and put on a happy face while I was dying inside. You do what you must to protect the ones you love and your own heart.

Dan Povenmire is a beautiful soul

I've never been divorced, but I've definitely had moments where I felt like I was crumbling inside, but I had to put on a happy face, pretend nothing was wrong, and push on despite wanting to crawl into a dark corner and cry. I've gotten way too good at that "Everything's Fine (No It Isn't)" face. The worst part is that, if you do it well, people don't know how strong you needed to be to do that task because it looks like you were perfectly fine the entire time.

Putting this in my “when you’re sad playlist”
  • In 2015, I did it when my daughter passed away. In the US you get 3 days for bereavement. Sometimes 5. As much as I stand with the feeling that sometimes you do it with a broken heart, I wish we also had enough structure in our policies to give time off when it’s what someone really needs to find a path to thrive again.

I love Katy so much. Imagine performing right after a breakup! What a star! I’ve heard that during her last tour, she didn’t miss one SINGLE show! True dedication!!!

So recently Disney + has been doing something where when you finish a movie or show, it recommends something completely random. Like Toy Story for TASM2. But my favorite is easily how at the end of Avengers Endgame, it recommends Phineas and Ferb
  • @TyrannoNoddy
You know, I bet even Phineas would have moments like this, nobody's immune to these things, we all go through tragedy and heartbreak at some point. It's impressive you feel able to be open about it now.

Like Robbin Williams said: "the saddest people always try their hardest to make people happy because they know what it's like to feel absolutely worthless and they don't want anyone else to feel like that." Misery absolutely does not love company.
  • @richc2109
Thank you for your vulnerability to share this, and props to Katy for doing the show in that condition. I bet none of the fans had any idea that something was wrong.

When i first saw the video of Katy Perry crying I became emotional. Just the heartbreak and the sense of feeling lost. Especially right before a huge show mustve been hard
  • @alh0986
Did not expect this video to be so sad but yet so true
  • @zenmoonmaster
Not every fan in general will be understanding of whatever art's we're talking about at the time but you'd be surprised how many of them would be understanding don't feel like you have to push yourself dan if you need time to feel your feeling were here to support you because you give us inspiration when we needed most during childhood and even adulthood 💙
  • The "they ask you how you are" meme Katy Perry said? That's the story behind Firework. She wanted everyone who was miserable like that-- like her-- to know that you can pull through like the wonderful person you are.
  • I almost got separated in December… but everyday I went to work and when I came home I cried. I cried in restrooms and any time I wasn’t around people. Because people come to me with their problems and man was there a lot of them. And no I am not a psychologist.
