The Mclaren Artura ($289,175 as specced in the US, ~$393,397 CAD converted) is a hybrid V6 twin-turbo supercar that makes a massive 671 horsepower, 531 lb ft of torque, and has just a 3303 lb curb weight. It comes with a claimed 355 km/h top speed and a 3.0 second acceleration to 100 km/h. Like every Mclaren, it is hand assembled for extra precision - but do some extra quirks still come along for the ride? And does it hold its own against the competition? Thomas and James are excited to try their first ever Mclaren on Throttle House. We hope you enjoy the episode! Subscribe!

The 671hp number popping up so often is likely because it converts to 500kW.
  • @the_deee
James saying "It's the full McLaren experience" while slowly tapping TH's Business card is so hilarious
  • @tavarish
I have never seen an Artura that works. Never.
  • @LucasMp
I have just two things to say. 1) The level of content that you guys create is absolutely nuts. Love this channel. 2) the fact that both screens on a car that's about a quarter million dollars can (and fucking will) overheat that easily and constantly, while being THAT slow, is just absurd. That's beyond unacceptable.
  • @BIGGELATO
Glad you're keeping McLaren accountable, or else they'll keep making unreliable cars. Someone has to do it!
  • @chunbaouk
I can see lots of comments (quite rightly) congratulating you on the excellent production value of your videos these days, but I just wanted to say as great as that is, what I love most about your videos is the writing, the comedy, the honesty, the chemistry and the integrity of your takes. I hope as you become ever more successful, you guys never lose that!

I've said it before & I'll say it again, whats happened to McLaren is that for years people said the cars were phenomenal but lacked the "character" of their Italian rivals. McLaren then employed (I presume in labcoats) "character experts" to go and analyse cars that were reviewed as having lots of it so they could mimic some. Unfortunately they chose to take the character of old italian stuff that just didn't work 50% of the time. "ITS A FEATURE NOT A BUG"

Policeman: sir i pulled you over because you were speeding do you know how fast you were going? McLaren owners: no idea officer if you could tell me would appreciate it by screens are off again can't see a dm thing 😂

Man, throttle house has come so far in such a relatively short period of time. It doesn’t seem that long ago that we’re discussing “regular traffic” cars. Now nearly every single video contain some of the most exciting cars currently made. Hats off to you guys

It's shocking that the Artura isn't sorted by now. I saw a pre-production Artura at a show more than 2 years ago.
  • @DanDoesGame
LOL!! The intro.... Kinda stinks that the new car is having issues. Back to square one I guess with McLaren. I thought they had resolved there issues (why I edited this comment) didn't see the parts of you showing all the broken stuff 🤣🤣
  • @CH-qt4hr
Interesting that the Car and Driver write up doesn't mention the atrocious build quality much at all. Kudos to Throttle House for keeping it real.
  • @petezee6645
So many reviews of British made cars start with a pisstake of their reliability. A8 did a great Range Rover Sport review that started with it arriving on a tow truck 😂
  • @shobin05
Its a real shame McLaren has many quality issues. I always root for them seeing as how small they are compared to equivalent supercar makers. They need to focus on quality control fast or they're going to face the same faith as jaguar is right now.
  • Funny how much hate the new NSX got and now everyone is copying their homework
  • @nickt4731
This is unacceptable. Maybe if McLaren did make some SUVs they would have some money for some okay quality control.
