When buying a long option if it is an at the money (ATM), it may be around a .50 delta which implies that there is a 50% probability the option will be at least a penny in the money by the options expiration date. So many times it isn't as high of a probably as could be set up in a spread trade. How can a trader minimize exposure to that lower probability? Buying options that are a little in the money or have a higher delta and thus some intrinsic value is one way. Another is to adjust the stop loss daily to try to lock in unrealized gains. In this webcast we'll look for targets that are 1.75 times the ATR.
