The Edmonton Oilers have made a mess of their first two games of the 2024 Stanley Cup Finals. From diving, to refs, to on ice stupidity, dodging suspensions, and injuries. This cup finals is only going to get worse if the Oilers don't elevate their game.

The oilers are just getting out played, plain and simple

Oilers are definitely still in this. If Drai can injure 7 or 8 more Panthers with illegal headshots then they can make it a series

If you have ever played Hockey and someone swoops your leg or hit his foot on your knee, you usually don't just get up from that like nothing happens. I know you love your Oilers but if we are going to have a rational conversation, at least be logical about it. Loustarinen does not have a history of embellishing and the Oiler player did sick out his foot . That's a dirty play in any league. Be man enough to admit that at least. Is plain as day. Just like Bennett's hit on Marchand is a terrible thing for Hockey. Or the Elbow on Ekblad from Trouba or Dri's elbow on Brakov. Let be adults about this not just irrational fan boys.

According to the search results, the Edmonton Oilers have a total of 1,781 wins and 1,540 losses due to bad officiating ... therefore the Oilers have never lost a game due to their poor play.

I like how this dude says.I don't want to take everything away from the panthers. And Then he does nothing but take everything away from the panthers LO. L.

Hello. Wanted to help and clarify some things... "Kneeing is the act of a player leading with or EXTENDING their knee outwards for the purpose of making contact, or attempting to do so, with the opponent. (a) A minor penalty shall be assessed for kneeing an opponent. (b) A major plus a game misconduct penalty shall be assessed to any player who recklessly endangers an opponent as the result of kneeing. (c) A match penalty for reckless endangerment may also be assessed for kneeing." He was given Major penalty, because he deliberately extended his knee and made a reckless play. The difference to the Bennet hit is that Bennet never extended his knee. Therefore it wasnt a reckless play and only a minor was given

I won’t be surprised if it goes back to Florida tied 2-2.

watching the oilers try to get a puck past bobrovsky is like watching a kid trying to wrestle his dad.

This series is turning into a disaster, one more loss and it's over, they'll never dig out of that.

Do you really think that the Oilers don’t care. Maybe the Panthers are a better team and they have been here last year. History shows that 1st. time finalists do not fare well. If you use the 10 year team generation metric only teams with generational players succeed their 1st try in the final. Penguins had LeMieux,Avalanche had MacKinnon and Makar but they were deeper than the Oilers. The Oilers are a few pieces away from a cup they have 2 generational players but still need to find the missing pieces to win the Cup.
  • Great analysis as usual. Your channel is excellent. I played the game for 20 years. It looked to me like Foegele saw the puck at his feet and in a split second changed his mind and made a choice to try and kick the puck but the Florida player was right there. It of course looked bad as the puck was right by everyone's legs. That is what I saw on the replay.

Rodrigues has out scored your entire team. The reason you are losing in this series is your stars can’t score.
  • @natev580
Did anyone actually not see this coming? As an Oilers fan, I resolved myself in round 2 to the fact that the Oilers don't have what it takes to win the cup this year. It sucks, but they can't do it and that is just the brutal truth.
  • @lsackman1
its your fault where the heck were you
  • @Hockey7234
They are getting outplayed. Its not like they arnt trying lmao. Panthers are by far the better team.
  • @johnloos6571
Obviously Barkov wasn’t embellishing. He tried to get up, fell back down, went to the locker room and didnt return to a 1 goal game with over 9 minutes left. Should the ref have told him to get up? Cheap shot by Drais, you don’t bring up that? Your bias is clouding your assessment of the play. Oilers looked a lot “greasier” than Panthers in game 2.
