The MDF boat build (part 1)

We need a tender for camping trips on our little yacht. Actually we've survived without it for some time now, but I also have an itch to design and build a boat. I also like a challenge, so I'm going to make it out of cheese (or something nautically similar).
In this episode I describe the rational behind this odd decision and make a start on the shape of the thing..

I was just looking at the price and availability of marine ply and was looking for alternatives. MDF is actually epoxy bonded so with usual stitches and glue may work?
