Camping teaches me I'm just a weird creature in a tide pool

Life can pull you in so many directions and it's hard to figure out the right path to take. Especially when you're trying to leverage your talents to not only make ends meet, but to just have fun.

So, here I am again...It was the first of the month, and I just needed to escape the demands of reality – yup bills bills bills for this California local. But there’s a silver lining. The answer to my problems was to escape to Crystal Cove and Moro Campground, to be one with nature and test my survival skills. I have beautiful views of the ocean from the cliff where I set up shop. Here you’ll see clips of how I ASMR-ed my way to building my tent. Trust me, it’s just as satisfying to watch as it was to actually do! Looking back, I really do miss the peace the great outdoors gives me while I spend most of my time working and going around LA. Talk about free(ish) therapy! I also set up the back of my Element to be functional. Yup, I am a certified camper!

I honestly found a lot of empty space in my head that I didn’t know existed. As I looked out into the distance, cooked simple meals, walked around and people watched, I was at peace. But see how I predictably turned this vibe into something dark. Typical me.

Overall, the 3 days and 2 nights camping trip humbled me and made me grateful for the simplest things. Catch some more realizations, like the quick reminder of how small we are in this world, and live footage of insects (and me) by watching the whole video. Hope you guys enjoy listening to the sounds of nature that I was able to happily record by shooting this vlog.
