I’m a Toyota guy for life but No recovery hooks was a huge mistake by Toyota. Whoever ok’d that decision should not be working on off road trucks honestly. Recovery points are so big and important.
  • @Corndog4382
As an aerospace engineer, I call bs on the recovery hooks being removed for aerodynamics. The front of a truck is a massive high pressure zone, those hooks would have an incredibly tiny impact if any at all, it doesn’t increase the cross sectional area of the truck at all. I don’t believe their reasoning.

Doug: "Quality is excellent. Toyota reliability is beyond question fantastic." Also Doug: "It gets an 8 out of 10."

The Tundra does have a storage area under the rear seat. The hybrid version uses that space for the battery so on those trucks, you loose that storage area. They also move the 12 volt battery to that location also for the hybrid trucks.

20:00. There's no storage underneath the seats in the hybrid models because that's where the batteries are kept. However, non-hybrid models have the storage space available

My 2000 Toyota 4Runner has the back window rolling down feature. It’s cool to see Toyota is still using it as it is such a unique Toyota thing
  • @Espinal_424
I love love love that rear window power up and down that toyota has on their trucks and 4Runners. I wish every suv and pickup manufacture did this as well. Great Video Douggy
  • Couple things wrong: There IS an optional step for the tailgate that sits under the rear bumper and pops out. Believe it costs around $400 to add the "bed step" to your build. Only the hybrid models lack the storage under the rear seats, because that's where the batteries are kept. Non-hybrid versions DO have under-the-seat storage.

The biggest feature in this truck is that it can change your shirt automatically 18:59

I can’t wait for what Doug has in store for DOUGCEMBER
  • I just test drove this truck at the Philly auto show, and yes I was most impressed by the sound. No matter what exhaust system you throw on an ecoboost f150/raptor, it still doesn't sound like a v8 to me...this does! I did get a bit of information overload from the excessive cameras, but since I doubt I'll ever be able to afford this truck, I just tried to enjoy the experience
  • @Jon-cx7kf
19:19 Doug's face as he's rolling the window up and down..🤣
  • I love how Doug adjust his voice based on the type of vehicle he’s reviewing
  • @mehdisy3d
This man has survived innumerable 3rd degree quirk attacks and still quirks away...legend.
  • @johnborsil5396
No storage underneath for they hybrids ONLY. The gas versions have storage underneath. Actually bugger than some, because the seats themselves are longer than competitors.
  • @23CivicTypeR
"TOYOTA, let's go places." pops in my mind every time i see a Tundra/Tacoma.
  • @realkylecsmith
Doug is the kinda guy to have 2 Dougs in the same video
  • @bobertbirkely
I love the return of the "TOYOTA" front grill. It's a cool throwback to the old school Land Cruiser days.
  • @zedbets
The change sorter/storage is the greatest thing I've ever seen! I always have change clinking around in my center console.
