Reporter Cathal O’Shannon asks young women about the physical attributes that they find attractive in men.
According to those interviewed, both physical attributes and personality contribute to the attractiveness of a man.
"I don’t like a man who’s too preoccupied with his own masculinity."
Musical talents also featured in the list of desirable characteristics.
"I’m very attracted to men who are able to sing and play music."
One woman says she like a well-proportioned man in terms of height and build.
"I find those muscular men rather revolting to look at."
Another woman reinforces this view,
"...Apollo type specimens of humanity which I find rather disgusting looking."

She said this in response to my puzzlement over why girls at my school would engage in positive banter with boys who tried to get their attention in ways I didn’t care for (though I didn’t understand them from a social perspective at the time).
