The stupidity and repetitiveness of the questions asked by the media never ceases to amaze me. They aren't interested in the pros and cons of issues - just finding an angle for a shockbite news leader. The policy is ethnicity neutral but the media can't help themselves trying to make it anything but.
  • I can't believe the silly question about Maori question. If your group commits more crime, expect your group to go to prison more as well. It's not hard to understand; if you're over-represented, it's because you commit more of it, not because of racism or anything like that.
  • Being lenient to the criminal is committing cruelty to the victim. sorting crime is the fundamental for the community. Focusing on priorities and "productivity" is very important in NZ to be accountable for its own economy and positive driving force for progress in the competition internationally. Good work!

Thank goodness National government has a hard approach on crime. Labour was soft.

I can't believe people study to be reporters, can they be dumber with their questions. Are they training to beat each other at stupidity?

What date. Will this gang patch ban in public happening. Do we have a date.
  • @W_Bin
Getting the police to turn up to stop offending while it's happening, instead of harrassing people while they are not doing anything, and sending them to crime school, would be a good start.

Kawl!!! 2/3rds of the physical assault perpetrators are Maori btw. And that is from my own personal experience being of Maori decent....
  • How are you planning to protect our vulnerable young people? Your recent changes to disability funding have significantly impacted the lives of many disadvantaged youths. I fail to see how any of your policies are beneficial or supportive towards our young people. It appears that you are focusing more on punitive measures rather than providing much-needed support.
  • Thank you all for consistent messaging becoming more often from the government/getting more stable finally! Glad the gotcha media went on for 15minutes showing where it's at yet again... glad the new lot in government appear to be able to make changes consistently and simply. It's a good thing...to reduce harm even to the 3strikers...got to keep it simple to get better results. Statistics. Lux knows
