The organizers of the Paris Olympics issued an “apology” over the blasphemous depiction of the Last Supper during the Opening Ceremonies, stating, “Clearly there was never an intention to show disrespect to any religious group.” In his homily today, the Very Rev. Chris Alar, MIC, reveals how the very opposite is true, and encourages us to protest this outrage to the International Olympic Committee:

Just because the IOC "apologized", we can't stop talking about what they have done. This apology is not acceptable, and we need to continue to fight the opening ceremony. We can't just let it be forgotten or fade out of our memories.

The Olympics claims that this spectacle was merely honoring Greek gods. They also claim that religious expressions are not allowed during the Olympics. They must pick one or the other.

It destroyed France and the Catholic Church. Thank you Father. I have a history degree and learned nothing of lies about the French Revolution. 🙏

The Olympic IOC can try and whitewash the implied meaning of the opening games all they want, but the Olympic IOC still needs to provide a worldwide televised apology for their opening game pornigraphic disply.

Thank you Father Chris. May God bless and protect you.

Thanks for taking the lead in calling out the evil of our time. I wish the Pope had your courage.
  • They'd never admit anything or actually feel sorry. The church just needs to work harder on our education, on how catholicism is not about oppression, the true meaning of sin, the true meaning of love, and that of freedom of course. I think society needs more clarification on catholic teachings because there are a lot of misunderstandings on the faith.

  • I called your office to tell them it was the wrong email. When you sent to correct one I did email them and express my disgust. I have 2 grandchildren so far and am petrified that they will be indoctrination of this sick behavior. Thank you so very much Fr Chris. We need you. I watch you daily. God bless. Keep guiding us.

They only apologized after companies started pulling their advertising dollars... AND that apology WAS NOT an apology😡

Remember my brothers and sisters in Christ; Let us pray for those who have been deceived in and participated, let us not feel hate towards them, but sadness and pity. They need our prayers.
  • Thank you for sharing the truth about this shameful Paris Olympics. It is truly heartbreaking.
  • Thank you for speaking up, Father. We need more leaders of the Christian church to denounce what the IOC displayed and "apologized" for.
  • Thank You Father Chris, I highly value you're raising your voice to condemn this attack against our Lord Jesus Christ and Christianity. Catholics need brave leaders like you to protect our faith. ❤

Thank you for being a good shepherd Fr. Chris! Please continue to call evil out as it should be. May we rebuke our old sinful ways, cast off our hearts of stone, and by the power of Jesus Christ, give unto us a heart of love: full of Mercy, compassion, courage, justice, Holiness, purity, sacrifice, and humility.
