I never got into arcade style controllers like fight sticks because I was easily frustrated at missed inputs and I thought gamepad controllers were much more comfortable.
However now that I’ve been introduced to the buttonbox layout I’m happy to say that I’m converted 😁
Converting the layout wasn’t as easy as I thought though, so I ended up searching online for advice and I couldn’t find anything very specific for this conversion- so I decided I should do my part and try to fill in that knowledge gap on the internet by making this YouTube video.

Love it!!! It's very hard for me to imagine leaving stick, but the buttonbox layout leaves little room for error. Can't wait to convert my TE1!

I've made this recently. It's great but a STRONGLY recommend changing the PCB to a Brook PCB or something else. The original TE stick isn't properly SOCD compliant so pressing left and right will give you neutral but locks you out of pressing up and down as well. Same for pressing and holding up and down together

Thanks for making this. I plan on doing it later (also huge thanks for linking the metal replacement top panel). Is there any reason you kept the top left section of the stick with the Xbox stuff? Do they still work?
