  • As a Heat fan, I’d rather win and get swept in the Finals than bear the embarrassment of blowing a 3-0 lead.

I just wanna point out that Marcus Smart is the heart of this Celtics team. He brings the confidence, and swagger to this team, and even if he isn’t playing great you know he is always giving you his effort. Game 3 when C’s were down by a million and the Jays subbed out, Marcus Smart stayed in the game till halfway through the 4th. Even when he is having a good game, Smart usually finds a way to take some of the worst shots imaginable (to his credit they go in like 30% of the time but still not great). But these past two games, especially game 5, he did not attempt any bs shots, and from the opening tip he set the defensive tone.
  • Gabe Vincient injury sucks. He was looking incredible. Now Kyle Lowry is our only non injured pg and l liked his impact of the bench but not as a starter. Duncan Robinson seems to be our best passer now. Hope he plays more.

Lowry's age was definetly showing, and means that the loss of Herro, Oladipo, and now Vincent is so much more hurtful

I’m still taking the Heat. There’s a reason no team has ever come back from 3-0

Barkley said it last night and was right. When Boston plays well theres nothing Miami can do about it. They played well aside from the turnovers, and lost by 13, wouldve been more but the C's bench gave up a pretty big run at the end of the game. The C's biggest adjustment has been switching Rob Williams onto Butler every time. Jimmy can't consistently contend with his length, it alters all his shots.
  • Tatum is having an underrated playoff run. 28-10-5 on 60% ts and great defense, but people act like a few bad halves ruins everything

Remember last year the Sixers went up 3-0 to Toronto and Toronto won 2 straight. But Sixers won the series. But I’m all for a 3-0 comeback

Jimmy Butler's worst non-injury playoff game since the 2020 Finals Game 6 where he simply ran out of gas. Miami's 75th least FGA of the season. Bam disasterclass. Lowry's worst game in a Heat uniform, potentially. All that, plus no Gabe Vincent when you've only got one other guard? That'll lose you a game by 20 even if the Celtics shoot 20% from 3. I feel like there's a lot to be optimistic about as a Heat fan: the blowout means Spo got Highsmith some minutes, and we discovered we can survive non-Bam, non-Zeller minutes and run the Vincent/Martin Zone POA defense without Gabe Vincent. I get why so many Heat fans are doom-and-gloom (they're trying to avoid becoming the first 3-0 team to lose) but it doesn't feel like there's a chance the Heat come out in Game 6 looking like the Heat from Game 4 and 5. Doesn't feel like Spo won't create an answer for Mazzulla's defensive adjustments of no longer switching everything to run shooters off the line. Doesn't feel like we're going to feed Bam in the post and then not figure out how to support him so he can't get blitzed by 3 defenders. It just doesn't feel like this team would allow it to happen again.

Celtics fan here! I believe in Boston! The Red Sox are also the only MLB team to do the same feat of coming back from 3-0 👀
  • @sixthorder
It's really not impossible. That's kind of the whole point. It would've been impossible for the cavs to come back against the KD warriors after being down 0-3, cuz the warriors were just way better. In this case, the celtics are the better team

The heat also shot 52% from the field, it’s not that they weren’t hitting shots, it’s the Celtics we’re creating turnovers and capitalizing on offensive rebounds. And yes we shot well from the 3 point line, but that’s what this roster does best. Everyone can shoot (except Rob lol). I still believe the most difficult game is this next one. Let’s go C’s ☘️☘️
