Mike was asked at a press conference how his relationship was with the officials. His response was, "It's not monogamous." Nobody laughed. It went over everyone's heads.

What I like about McDaniel is that he doesn't appear to be a typical coach but a Madden player. He's having the time of his life👍

I'm German and I love his sense of humor (dry, ironic, fresh). In the Bundesliga are some players who have a similar type of humor during press conferences, but its not very common. Maybe the German media is not aware of this. There should be more coaches like him everywhere. Keep showing us more!

Your comment about Mike McDaniel not getting laughs over there made me think of what Robin Williams said to an old lady in Germany when she asked if he knew why they don't have many funny comedians over there and he said "well, do you think you might have killed them all?"

Saw him in interviews with 49ers a minute liked him. Than he went on the Pat McAfee show for the entire show after becoming Dolphins coach. FUNNY AF

German here. It's not that unusual to have funny football coaches (meaning "soccer") here. Jürgen Klopp and Christian Streich come to my mind. Language barrier shouldn't be a factor. I expect sport journalist that covers the NFL to speak and understand english fluently. So probably there just weren't mics for the crowd.
