Another great video, it’s difficult to explain magic and you always make me chuckle when you do, well done πŸ‘πŸΌ

Just bought the NanoVNA, great bit of kit and your video's have helped me navigate it, Cheers Ray. 73 Adrian M0NOD
  • Really interesting seeing some other uses for the NanoNVA other than just SWR measurements. I'm looking forward to the rest of the series. Cheers Ray
  • @charliesoffer
Really helpful, Ray. Many thanks for such clarity, as ever.

Hi Ray, enjoy your tea :-) Thanks for the information about the nano vna. 73 Bernd

Thanks for this great video Ray. You clarified some of the operational questions I had on the VNA. I have one of these Nano VNA. We also have the tinySA spectrum analyzer which is also really neat. Its about the same size as the Nano VNA. Terry, WA0DTH
  • Great video. After watching, I set up my nanovna with one cable set with clip leads on just s11 to see if a tuned circuit resonance could be monitored using just this one port; it can. Set up your nanovna to read resistance and frequency sweep as in the video. When the tuned circuit is in resonance, its impedance will be extremely ( infinitely) high. Try setting scale division to say 2000 to get a better peak and have a marker track maximum. I found that the loop attena that I made with cat-5 cable has, at the moment, too much capacitance to tune to the upper part of the MW band

I've been thinking of getting one to look at my h/b tuneable band pass filters I'm going to use in my h/b tx/rx. As well as look at my various aerials. It looks like a useful gadget. Go on, bore me, I could do with a drink! Bill, G4GHB.

you can make dip coils ray and use it in swr mode as dip meter.

I have an old philco 5 tube radio. I cant find the data for it. Is there a way to find out what the IF should be? Philco made their radios with many different IF's. Or does it even matter if I set the filters to match an IF?
  • @Boozion
Hi Ray. I wanted to ask you what model number and brand nano vna you got there. I was looking at them on line on Amazon. There are so many different one's out there. Thanks again for sharing. Take care. 😊
  • did you uuse coax to make your corodile clip test leads?
  • @joerowland7350
