The year is 20XX... players have obtained the ability to play Fox at TAS levels of perfection. The winner of every match now comes down to whoever has controller port priority.

The year is 21xx Mindgames have reached the point where both players simply stand where they spawned, predicting the opponents every move. The entire game is played out in the players' minds, and when one player gets out-read in the imaginary game, he then forfeits.
  • The year is 30XX. Because matches are decided by port priority, Melee Tournaments have been replaced by DDR Tournaments.

The year is XXXX. Tournaments are no longer a thing. Matches are played 24/7 by robots made by Melee players.

20XX where port priority is the only factor when it comes to winning.

The year is 20XX. Smash no longer exists, as sets have been reduced to rock-paper-scissors matches for port priority. Instead of Smash tourneys, the people of 20XX hold RPS tournaments with all sets being 3/5.

I guess you could say the metagame has reached it's... Final destination!
  • What it looks like: standard melee gameplay What it feels like: the fight for the last slice of pizza

This year is F0XX. When Melee matches starts become less human and more waveshines.

The year is 40XX Goverment has fallen and Fox has taken over the whole world. The only celebrations people actually have is St. Foxes Day, Foxgiving and Foxween. BEST FOX.
  • @fucingjames9193
Unoptimal play, Fox didn't go for stage control after taking a stock
  • And that, ladies and gentlemen, is why RPS determining port priority is the true endgame of 20XX.

I love how accurate this is. The Chain grab, Shine/Stage spike. The dsmash on upb recovery that missed, the ftilt to space in neutral. Really great job on this video.
