Ep7: The Truth About Molly Burke: Blind & Bullied

In this show we visit youtubers' places, we sit down with them, get real, and have a super raw candid conversation about things they’re dealing with behind the camera. This show is bringing that wall down, bringing you closer to your favorite youtubers, and spreading awareness to important topics not discussed enough.

We collabed on Molly's channel with an honest Q&A! watch molly's video:    • Getting HONEST and REAL with Niki DeM...

  • Love you so much Niki! I'm so glad we sat down and had this talk. <3 xo
  • I honestly started crying when she talked about being left in a forest when she started going blind. There's bullying and then there's just sick, cruel, psychotic behavior.

“14 year old me wanted to die, 24 year old me is living my best life,” I want to frame this and put it in my future classroom. Suicide is a permanent solution to a temporary problem.
  • I love how she actually put her name in the title instead of the "blind girl." so sick of seeing that everywhere. Molly shouldn't be defined like that.
  • @delanauebe5879
“even my mom forgets i’m blind sometimes, right mom?” Molly is such a pure soul💓
  • @KatieTracy
I love this series because it reminds us how we're all human and fighting our own battles.

Molly said she is always attached to someone when she walks. But we also know she can see light. Let's take christmas lights and make her lane she can walk through. Let's give her the freedom.
  • @nytony03
I don't get why people think that she was faking because you can tell if you look her in the eyes they are dilating. And why would she lie about something so serious. You are so pretty Molly ❤️

I love this series so much, it is so raw and honest. It really shows that there is a lot people do not know about content creators and it's something I can totally relate to. It's so inspiring to see someone doing amazing things with their platform. You're doing yourself proud x <3
  • @NivMartinez
Niki is unlocking every weaknesses to make it a strength to them.
  • The incident in the forest is so screwed up ... but I'm so glad that Molly didn't let that get the best of her and now she's a huge inspiration to so many people everywhere
  • @fefebee3862
I wish I was with molly in school , I would have stuck up for her and supported her . My name is Fiona and I have just started highschool my best friend is deaf and I know BSL and have been learning more so I'm very proud of making a deaf friend !!!!
  • @BrookeMonroe
this is incredible, one of the best so far Niki! I can't believe those girls left her in a forest. what the hell.
  • @skylarbrittanyx
molly is honestly such an inspiration. the fact she still stays so positive and grateful towards life is something we should all take notes of. ❤️
  • I cried, when she said, that life gets better. This is so beautiful and... I don't have words.
  • My 8 year old little sister is also legally blind and her first day of school someone took her glasses (which cost hundreds of dollars) and buried them in the sand, thank god she had a friend help her find them otherwise she could not find them. Molly is so brave and I can’t say I understand but I get an idea of how difficult it is and how it can impact your life cause I had to live with helping her we homeschool now and of course I still love her even with her condition. I hope you have a nice day 😊

Thank you Niki for making this video with Molly. I am a 15 year girl in high school who is also a victim of being legally blind. This video is amazing because the Rods and Cones in my eyes don’t work and I use the corners of my eyes to see. My eyes cannot look straight and I do not use a guide dog but my sight is getting worse and my life is only getting harder but I’ve been through so much that the hardships I know I’m going to face in the future won’t be as bad as my past. P.S if there is any spelling mistakes or something just know that this was voice recorded and typed so sorry. And I only have 48% of my sight remaining.

I feel for you, the same thing happened to me, not only were my teachers accusing me of faking but my family didn't even believe me, I literally had to get written proof and still they didn't believe me. I know how hard it can be when those people put even more stress on you even though you are already struggling. You've grown up to be an amazing woman and you deserve the best Molly xx
