Welcome to Monster Hunter World Iceborne: where every meal is a steak, every weapon is the size of Madagascar and every hitbox is somehow more jank than the last. The tutorial is 1000 hours long. Good luck. And before you comment, the song is called ''Nay! The honor is all ours''

Can't believe you found a way to abolish systemic racism and the wage gap in one 11 minute video! Great vid again Ed!
  • I remember another game reviewer saying: Everyone loves monster hunter. They just have to stick around long enough to realize it.

That feeling when the monster you been struggling with starts limping. The Rush, its amazing. The moment Kirirn limped the first time, i went from: "Please god, don't cart me again. I used so many potions. I dont want to restart the Quest." immediately to: "WERE ARE YOU GOING, BITCH!?" "THERE MAY COME A DAY FOR MERCY. TODAY IS NOT THAT DAY!"
  • Finally someone who appreciates the simplicity of the charge blade
  • “You can speed up the quest board animation with r1” What Wait what

This video is so fucking underrated, genuinely watched this like 20 times through. That motivational speech at 5:21 still causes goosebumps, soooooo true.

"Hammer goes bonk" - and that is all we hammer mains need
  • talking about Charge Blade for 40 minutes Me: “Alright, that just about covers the basics.” New player: “finally, I can pla-“ Me: “Now let’s talk about guard points.”

I'm definitely high key jealous you've got such a good hunting party together. I play solo 99% of the time cause none of my friends are as into it as I am

I gotta tell you, I felt 5:20 to an extent, but it never really hit me hard until that moment I finally beat Brute Tigrex with my Greatsword solo. I hated it from the start, but by the time I started learning its patterns and winning, it felt GOOD. Needless to say, I look forward to the day I master that hunt.

You know what they say: "It doesn't get easier you just get better"

You know looking back, the ending is a pretty good summary of the overall experience with Monster Hunter in general. Everything builds up to a climax where you overcome the greatest challenge you've had so far with the game, it's epic for a moment, then the quest reward screen hits with some RnG fuckery, and the mood is ruined.

5:21 - 7:32 THIS. I started backing with MHFU (2nd Generation), and I kept coming back again and again. Because this is the core of Monster Hunter. You don't kill Monsters, nor do you defeat them, you HUNT them. Learning their move-set, their weakness, their habits; setting up your traps, or prepping for a hunt, or making a better build; being rewarded for new Equipment you earned, or a skillset you honed to perfection, or knowledge about the Monster. You are the Hunter, and you are what makes this came so perfect; it's rare for a game to have this level of perfection and engagement in its Gameplay (Witcher 3 is the closest I've gotten).

"hammer goes bonk" as a hammer main I can confirm that this is true. All I do is bonk the monster 1000 different ways.
  • "You can speed up the quest board animation by holding R1" You...CAN W H A T??

This might actually be my favorite youtube video of all time. I find myself coming back to watch it every couple of months just cause of how spot on and well done it is. What a good time world was.
