It all makes sense how the writer of this episode introduced us to Tobias, who would go on to rob Ash's win of the Sinnoh League, is the same writer that made Ash lose to an idiot who forgot to bring 6 Pokémon as well as the episode of Ash losing the Kalos League Finals. That one writer made Ash lose the Sinnoh League, Unova League, and Kalos League. He ended up getting fired for that.

I wish Tobias was in the World Coronation Series in Pokemon Journeys. This dude deserves to be in the top ranked pokemon trainers in the entire world. He was probably filler or some shit cus even the writers don't even mention him in Journeys
