Your tornado plan should include a lawn chair and your beverage of choice to watch the action

I just want to say thank you to all the people from Iowa who were so kind on our visit filming. We met some really wonderful locals and had some really tasty food (not just Casey's Pizza ;) Thank you!

You might be in Iowa if your favorite pizza comes from a gas station, and a pizza buffet has the best fried chicken around. :-)

Also dont think that random people waving is weird, especially when gravel traveling

“Don’t call Iowans a bunch of hicks” All my farming uncles in Iowa have agricultural degrees. Most farmers wind up going to college for a business management or agriculture degree of some sort. Running a farm is complex

Lived there for 38 years. If your car breaks down on the side of the road be assured someone will soon stop and try to help you out. Very kind people.

When you said "it's not just corn" I immediately said "it's also soybeans". Great video. If you ever get to Hampton, go to Willie's. Fantastic tenderloin!

I’ve grown up in Iowa and it blows my mind that people don’t know how to drive on gravel - and also that gravel roads don’t exist everywhere
  • The most underrated tip was to drive on the middle of the road when on gravel or dirt. No one ever taught me that and I had to learn that the hard way when I moved here 🤣

"There's more to Iowa than just corn. There's also soybeans." -Iowan
  • I moved to Iowa almost 19 years ago and I fell in love with the place. You forgot to add that if you visit Iowa during late spring to fall, you gotta check out some of those small town festivals. They are a lot of fun.

This Iowan appreciates this video. 🙂
  • You forgot NW Iowa, Lake Okoboji, Spencer has been rated as one of the best small towns in the US, Orange City is almost a twin to Pella. Emmetsburg has Irish heritage, Schleswig and Holstein, German, Sioux City, Yes, Iowa has some older buildings but it has lots of new and modern ones too. Living History Farms in Des Moines shows historical farming life. The Iowa Hall of Pride a computerized history of sports in Iowa schools. SW Iowa the tree in the middle of the road, Atlantic, Council Bluffs, Riverboat Casinos, And lots more to see.

As an Iowan, this was a pretty good list, but you forgot about Blue Bunny ice cream in Le Mars!

I am from Iowa, born in Charles City, raised in Cedar Rapids and I lived in Wisconsin for several years. So many people would say that Iowa was flat and I would respond, “You’ve never ridden your bicycle across Iowa, have you?” Yes I’ve done RAGBRAI a few times. Oh FYI: it’s pronounced with a long “I” at the end, not rag-bray, just for future reference 😉🧡

I am a man of the corn and I approve this video. I hope you enjoyed our state!
  • I live in Iowa and this is the first time I heard Iowa getting love on youtube
  • 1 thing I like about Iowa is the rural farm landscape, it is so green and especially with the gravel roads, the farmland and gravel roads remind me so much of South West Victoria Australia where I grew up and still live. Hello everyone in Iowa.
