your characters are confessing their love for each other (romantic writing playlist)

When writing couples I like to use the kissing rule: If they have to kiss for you to know that they are in love, you aren't writing couples right.

Abbie literally has such good timing, I was just writing that scene-

when i fall in love, in a real way, i want this playing in the background, I won't accept anything else

I'm listening to this while doing math homework, but I assure you that I am also imagining romantic things while doing said math homework because of this playlist

He opened his eyes. Hazy, disoriented, he stared at the white ceiling. Then at the clothes on his body. He was in a hospital. Raising his body, he heard something. A murmur, then words "I thought I'd lost you." Tears were streaming down her face as she slumped on his body "I thought I'd lost you." She said again "I love you." He froze. She loved him back.

"Don't you get it?! I love you! I always have! So please, just this once. Stay!"

Alittle something came to mind while listening to this. Bare with me here: ~They have always been two halves of a whole since the beginning of time. Complete opposites, yet it was because of their differences that attracts and balances their bond. One was wild, the other was still... One was fierce, the other timid... One light, the other dark... Over and over again did they play different roles in each other's lives but their endless and passionate love has been the one remaining factor after all this time. And thus, that's how it will forever be seen. As long as the sea meets the land, where the seasons changes the pattern of life and death, from birth to death and until beyond the end of time...will they be lovers eternally and forever more.~

I’d love to get a playlist for when a character sacrifices themselves to save the world and their lover mourns them

That "A thousand times goodnight" Is TOO GOOD!! I was literally in tears writing this scene for my characters!

Divenire is legitimately one of the best songs ever written and when I saw this playlist I thought “I really hope Divenire is on it” and I’m so glad it is

This is exactly as the title describes. Perfect for my "we got married in secret but now we finally get to broadcast it with a real ceremony and we're feeling all cute about it" scene.

Time to listen to this on repeat as I write the closing chapter.

Young writer here, just turned 13. But anyways, my characters were lovers in the distant past, but broke up. Years later, its time to reclaim that love. Anyways im weiting their confessions now. 😊

I'm not there in my book yet but this is getting me sooo excited to progress my character's relationship to that point!

"Come with us, Rai. Let's leave this damned city and damned memories and damned villains. Let's live." Wylan's every word was pained, mourning yet hopeful. Rai remained silent, the swell of her tears speaking in her stead. She wanted nothing more than what he offered her, but how could she--how dare she--accept it? She couldn't. Not when she was those damned memories and those damned villains. Wylan did not know that, of course, but she did. And, yes, she was no saint, no kind soul, but she truly liked Wylan. Sweet stupid Wylan. Brave beautiful Wylan. So, she did what she did everyday, she lied. "I don't want to." Then, she spoke the truth, "I belong to this city until the day I die."

Abbie, you just helped me finally re-write that second chapter.

Best timing I’m literally just staring a fantasy novel with romance lol

This really helped me set the mood, though I used it for something more uplifting and heartbreaking than its true purpose, it still felt the same. One of my characters lost everything and was hospitalized due to an accident while the other found themselves in the same problem, but healthy and awake next to them. Both are unsure if they feel the same, but the one that's healthy knows that it's something but doesn't want to admit it to themselves. The one in a coma already loves the other one, and fell for them the first time they finally started becoming true friends and partners. It's a story about how the healthy one learns their feelings while going through hardships being without them, realizing how everything was so empty and lifeless without them. Luckily, I plan to leave it off on a good note. I'm not one for angst, I prefer happy scenes and more joyful and playful. Just wanted to leave this here for anyone who needs some inspiration, or just to say how happy I am to have found playlists by Abbie that fits so well with my mood and the tone of which I'm writing.
